UPDATE 3/5/18: We are still accepting video auditions for one female ensemble mezzo-soprano position for our young artist program, specifically artists of African descent, African-American, or ethnically ambiguous / mixed race. Ideal candidates will have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in vocal performance or theatre arts.
2018 Season Repertoire: Rossini's THE BARBER OF SEVILLE (in Italian), Norman & Simon's THE SECRET GARDEN, Sondheim & Lapine's INTO THE WOODS, Christopher Smith's AMAZING GRACE, and Clark Gesner's YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (Revised).
Please send video for consideration. The video package should include at least two contrasting pieces plus one monologue or scene. All recordings should be no more than one year old. You do not need to hire a videographer or studio, simple videos taken by smartphone will suffice. Though we are doing an all-call for video auditions, we MAY request a live follow up audition later this fall once we have reviewed all submissions. NO live auditions are currently planned.
Video package plus headshot and resume should be sent directly to Cassandra Coulam, Artistic & Company Administrator at NO later than March 15th(subject to change). Videos should be sent as links, no video attachments please.
If you recently auditioned or applied for a position you may not receive a rejection notice. Our General Director, Michael Ballam keeps copious notes and bio material on all artists, and although you may not be ideal for a role for our present season, you will be kept in consideration for future seasons.
